It is anniversary month again – nine years and counting! How time has flown and what a year it has been. I am so excited for our new space, new staff and new services. We have all been working hard to offer you, our clients, a better than best experience and I hope you are enjoying our upgrades.
For me the downside has been longer than normal hours, extra work, and a bit of added stress. I share this not to make you feel sorry for me, but to share what an amazing staff I have and how they have recharged my battery and helped me to remember to slow down and give into a little self-care.
We have so many recharging services: massage, manicures, pedicures, even our facial services now have extra pampering added on. I, however, have been notorious for encouraging others to take care of themselves but not practicing what I preach. I have been faithful with my home care, but anything that has required time has fallen off my schedule. I am sure many of you can relate. How many times have you motored on, giving to everyone and everything in your life, and not stopped to take those minutes for yourself.
So a big thank you to my staff for forcing me to stop and enjoy what we have to offer. They have tricked me by calling it a way to ensure our new services, staff, etc. are offering the quality I expect, but the result has been transformative for me. I have had bi-weekly massages and my back feels better than ever, plus I have left each session feeling mentally and physically recharged. Regular pedicures have made my feet look like they have not looked since I was in my twenties. I actually have nail polish on and not gnarly scuffed up nails, and my skin is beginning to get that post-procedure glow again.
And guess what, I have still managed to complete what needs to be completed, fulfilled my obligations, and the world hasn’t fallen apart yet. Are there a few things that have maybe dropped off my plate? Probably, but we all have survived. Remembering what it feels like to be loved and cared for reminds me why we do what we do in the first place.
So again, thanks to my amazing staff on this anniversary celebration month. They are what brings life to our building, equipment and services. I hope you will take an opportunity to take advantage of some of our pampering services and celebrate yourself a little this month, too. And you may on occasion see me sitting right next to you doing the same! Make room for what nourishes your soul and if no one has pulled you aside lately to remind you: Remember you are worth it!
