Hi everyone!
I am SO excited to start this new adventure of massage blogging! My name is Kimmie Wright and I started my massage journey back in 2007 after working for a law firm for 2 years…which felt like a million years. I guess you can say that was my first real office job, which introduced me to the real stress of day-to-day office employees.
After being in such a tense environment I realized my calling…to be a massage therapist…to HELP these people achieve stress relief and ultimate relaxation. I’ve always had a “people pleaser” personality; making someone feel good about themselves always gave me the best feeling inside, and I got the opportunity to start on this path that led to a greater meaning in my life…a feeling of giving someone the ability to know how GREAT they can feel.

I’d like to spend time over the course of the next few months explaining the MANY benefits of massage therapy. From my experience over the past 9 years of being a Licensed Massage Therapist, I know there are more than just physical benefits with massage therapy. There are also spiritual and emotional benefits. I’ve addressed everything from sports injuries to bereavement.
The biggest misconception of massage therapy is that most people just stop at the word massage and don’t seek it as a therapy. Granted it is typically a luxury service for most people, but one of my FAVORITE things is when a client comes in for ‘relaxation’ and then leaves feeling like a new person…tension is gone…they can move better than they have for months/years…headache gone…their mind is at ease…they’ve finally had that emotional release that’s been pent up…I could go on and on. Those clients are the ones that end up pre-booking before they leave because they didn’t realize how much they needed it (not just wanted it) until after our massage session was over.
I look forward to sharing any and all information in the world of massage therapy, from techniques used to getting the word out on how massage can help YOU! Don’t think you need it? We would like to prove otherwise.
