VersaSpa uses DHA, dihydroxyacetone, combined with anti-aging and skin-firming ingredients to produce a natural looking tan. This FDA-approved ingredient reacts with the proteins in your skin to form a golden brown color that will start to darken within 3 to 4 hours and gradually fade through natural skin exfoliation.

For best results:

• The night before your tan use a non-oil based exfoliator to properly even out your skin's surface.
• Always shave the night before, rather than the day of your tan. Shaving closes your pores and can inhibit the absorption of the sunless tanner.
• Shower the day of your tan, but do not apply lotion that is not specifically designed for pre-sunless tanning. Clean, freshly washed skin is the key to a good tan.

Your session will take place in a private room so you can choose to have a full body tan. You may also wear undergarments, but they may be stained during the process. You will push the start button and step into the VersaSpa tanning booth. The booth will provide voice guided instructions for you as you reposition your body to get an allover tan. Your tanning session will consist of a total of 8 passes of spraying on the treatment formulations: 2 pre-sunless pH balancing passes, 4 bronzing treatment passes, and 2 post-sunless super hydrating treatment passes. Each session will be followed by a drying pass. The VersaSpa is heated to help with comfort. Prior to your session our staff will go over the tanning process to make sure you have the best possible tanning experience.

You will be able to immediately dress and go about your day. If there is any dampness left you can towel it off and it will not affect your tan. You should wait at least 4 hours before showering, swimming or exercising.

To prolong and protect your tan add a gradual self-tanning moisturizer to your daily routine. We do offer a moisturizer specifically designed to complement the VersaSpa experience. For best results always use products that are specifically designed for pre and post sunless tanning. Over-the-counter products may interfere with the overall sunless tanning process.

Highly chlorinated water can decrease your tanning results.

Your sunless tan can last for up to 6 days depending on the condition of your skin. For best results use the accessory home care products to keep your skin properly moisturized and exfoliated.
