About Shelly Herst

Shelly is a mid-Missouri native and began her professional career as an English teacher after graduating from Missouri State University in Springfield. She married her high school sweetheart Chris and they had two boys. Shelly retired from teaching to be more involved in their boys’ education while also volunteering in their school and their community. The Herst family grew by one this summer when their oldest son, Gavin, married Christina. Their youngest son Griffin is entering his sophomore year at Mizzou.

Entering this new season of life as an empty nester, the timing could not be better to begin her new career as a concierge at Genesis this year . Genesis’ goal of enhancing the seasons of their client’s lives was a perfect fit for her love of education, health, and being one’s best self. Shelly loves the personability of her co-workers, the serene environment, and the daily client connections. She is excited to be able to contribute to Genesis’ goal of improving other’s health, well-being, and beauty. 



Outside of her professional life, Shelly enjoys Sunday dinners with her family, hiking, traveling, getting together with friends, and her daily park walks with Remington, the family Mountain Feist. She loves Jesus, her family, fall and football.
