About Janel Kleffner

Janel was born in Macomb, IL before her family relocated to Jefferson City when she was a child. After graduating from the LPN program at Nichols Career Center, she then received a bachelor's degree in Sociology at Lincoln U. Staying with her passion for nursing, Janel worked at a family medicine practice for several years before moving on to pain management. She has enjoyed seeing familiar patients through her change among clinics and giving comfort that they are in hands that know them. She came to Genesis ready to learn about vein disease and acquire skills to educate patients about our mission for preventive care. Janel’s day is made when a patient is happy with the relief in their symptoms and is able to do more because their legs feel better. 

Janel and her husband Mike have one daughter, Norah. They love going to events around town, cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs, and spending time with family. She is hoping when Norah is older, she will still be a fun mom and they can go to musicals and concerts together.
