Hello everyone! I am so excited to become part of the blogging world! My name is Austin Schroeder and I started my massage journey in March of 2015. I was born and raised on a farm in the small town of Babbtown. My family and I raise registered Black Herefords. My favorite things to do are to work on the farm and spend time with my family, and to show heifers and bulls across the United States.
I have always cared about others and their feelings. I wanted to find a profession where I could do just that. That is when I found Massage Therapy. I knew that becoming a Licensed Massage Therapist would give me the satisfaction I was looking for in helping others through my hands. Massage helps a person feel good about themself and helps them gain self-confidence.
After learning about all the benefits that massage has on a person’s mind and body, I was even more excited about becoming a Licensed Massage Therapist. Massage not only helps to relieve headaches, muscle aches/tension and stress, but also helps people with anxiety and depression, and improves sleep, immunity, mood and physical fitness. In addition it helps people with carpal tunnel syndrome, plantar fasciitis, tennis/golfer’s elbow, sciatica, and fibromyalgia.
Another type of massage that I find very interesting is animal massage. It is not yet a popular thing, but will be. My dog and show cattle love to be massaged. Massaging my cattle dog helps her joints and muscles stay loose so that she can keep up with the cattle herd. Massaging my show cattle helps them to be more relaxed before entering the show ring and also helps them to walk in a clean straight line.
Over the next few months I will be talking about the benefits a person gets when receiving a massage each month.
Love,
nAustin
