Kim’s Story: Botox, Finishing Triniti Plus Treatments, and a Microderm

I started this month with an injection of Botox from Dr. Prasad. This is something that when I began my journey with JCMG Laser & Vein Center I said was one thing that I would never do. However, after 10 months of building a trusting relationship with everyone at the center, I know that they would not allow me the option of doing anything less than beneficial for myself. The Botox was injected in the deep creases I have between my eyes. These are the results of years of showing expressions of concern/anger. The Botox has made it where I am no longer able to force the area between my eyes to make this look. I can only imagine how smooth the area between my eyes would be if I never had any stress in my life or if I had Botox to prevent me from making this expression. During the injection there were a few small pinpricks, but since then everything has been great. Look in the mirror and make an angry face and see if that expression causes you creases. If so, give Botox a try and see if you only have aging to lose!

This month was also my last Triniti Plus treatment. Even though overall this procedure is probably the most uncomfortable that I have experienced, it is by far my most favorite! I have noticed the most changes in my complexion and the firmness of my face as a result of these treatments. Stephanie was a little more aggressive with this treatment since it was my last one of the series and also because my recovery and results have been so great. The evening of my treatment and the following day I felt and looked like I had a moderate sunburn with some mild swelling, but it was far from intolerable. By the second day, the redness had completely subsided and I could only feel that “sandpaper” texture on my skin. I believe my “recovery time” was less with my second and third treatments. This may be because I had fewer problem areas to correct since the first treatment made such a wonderful difference. I am so pleased with the noticeable change in the firmness of my skin at my jawline and cheekbones.

A week after my Triniti Plus I enjoyed a microderm to assist in removing the dead skin from my face. This procedure is always so relaxing and I left with my face feeling refreshed.

Now back to my normal daily routine and use of SkinMedica products to keep the positive changes I have witnessed over this past year and prevent any damage and as much aging as possible.

It’s Sunsational month again at Genesis! We are looking forward to and getting geared up for our 16th annual Sunsational Celebration Open House on May 18th. It’s hard to believe how many of these we have put on as a company. Every year we are so grateful to all who celebrate with us. This year also marks, for me, 16 years of being a client of Genesis. As some of you know, Dr. Prasad and Barb are my parents, so I was exposed to great skincare products and sun protection from a young age. As I have grown up, and when I began my career at Genesis eight years ago, I tried even more of the services and products we offer. I can’t say enough how much they have changed my life. Everything I have tried has been fabulous, from vein care and Biote Hormone Replacement to routine facials and Botox. At 31, I feel younger than I used to and feel more confident in my skin than ever before. I have grown up around a lot of my Genesis team, and we have added some newer faces as the years have passed. They are amazing! I feel privileged to work with such a solid and passionate group of people. I think this place is pretty magical and you can feel it when you come through our doors.
