Harlene’s Story: Ready for My Close-Up
Earlier this year, I talked about the Academy Awards, the red carpet, who’s wearing who and having a movie star complexion. Recently, I actually got to stand on the red carpet for the Jefferson City premiere of the independent film, “Apparitional.” For those of you who haven’t heard about the premiere and the movie, the subject of the film had to do with ghost sightings. Most of the film was shot in Jefferson City at the old state prison, which is said to be haunted. It was only fitting to premiere the film right here in Jefferson City. A lot of people turned out for the midnight screening! It was a lot of fun even though it was a very short night for a lot of us.
Although I wasn’t a part of the local contingent who were extras in the film, I was on the red carpet waiting for someone to ask me, “Who are you wearing?” Sadly, no one did. OK, so I was standing NEXT to the red carpet and not actually on the red carpet. Nevertheless, I was prepared for the occasion with a movie star complexion — the result of services and products from JCMG Laser and Vein Center, and I was brave enough to have someone take my picture in front of all those people who came to see the cast and the movie! Thanks, L&V, you should be on the red carpet too!!!
Very recently, I had my third and last Triniti treatment. Triniti is a series of three treatments a month apart. Each session consists of color correction, wrinkle reduction and skin tightening procedures. My skin is much brighter — brown spots, broken capillaries and fine lines are gone!! A week after my last Triniti treatment, Kim followed up with a dermabrasion that removed the residual dead skin. That was the icing on the red carpet cupcake. I left the center knowing that my skin looks better than ever. I can’t say enough good things about L&V.
