“Maybe sheer vanity will encourage young people to be proactive and use their sunscreen, because the cancer fear doesn’t seem to be getting through to them.” Kim Painter, Special for USA TODAY
Kayla recently went on vacation and successfully had fun in the sun without getting sun damage. By reapplying her SkinMedica sunscreen she was able to enjoy her vacation on the beach. She has worked too hard to achieve beautiful skin to not protect it from the number one cause of skin aging. Protecting yourself from skin cancer by using sunscreen has the added bonus of keeping you looking young. When going on vacation use your sunscreen in combination with wearing light linen long sleeves, pants, broad-brimmed hats and sunglasses.
Kayla is still on maintenance microderms with mini peel — they always say when it’s not broke, don’t fix it. These are great for keeping her skin clear in the summertime. There isn’t any downtime to keep her from outdoor activities and it gives her the results she wants.
Kayla is still getting her laser hair removal treatments on her underarms. Even in the summer, laser can be done if the area is not exposed to the sun.
Everyone have a great 4th of July and wear your sunscreen!!
