The Academy Awards are over so we can all now relax and gossip about who wore what and who won what. All of the actresses looked very stylish in their couture gowns and were outrageously decked out in, for the most part, borrowed, very expensive jewelry. My favorite response to “Who are you wearing?” was by Bradley Cooper’s mother who said she pulled her gown out of her closet! You gotta love a woman who had the nerve to say that! I am always fascinated by the Oscars, particularly since I have stayed at the Roosevelt Hotel, swam in the hotel pool and have been in the Dolby Theatre, which used to be called the Kodak Theatre and is across the street from the Roosevelt Hotel on Hollywood Blvd. For those of you who watched the E Channel for the hours before the Oscars began in the Dolby Theatre, the Roosevelt Hotel and pool was the backdrop for the pre-Oscar program. Soooo cool! I can just see myself there.
I like to check out the complexions of the actresses on the red carpet and wonder how they accomplished that dewy, fresh look. You, too, can accomplish a similar look, giving yourself the “gift of a lift” by taking advantage of services and products at JCMG Laser and Vein Center. Last week I had a Vitalize Peel which is a little stronger than a microdermabrasion or an Illuminize Peel. My face is now peeling, particularly between my brows and down the laugh lines, and my skin is doing what it should do with this kind of peel. A series of either dermabrasions and/or peels is recommended to achieve the maximum look. Around the middle of March, I will have an Illuminize Peel to get my face all ready for my granddaughter’s wedding the third week of March. Home care for microdermabrasions and peels is simple with no down time.
Early in March, I am adding two new products to my skin care routine and I am looking forward to seeing the results. One product, LYTERA, is a skin-brightening product that addresses the appearance of skin coloration, which with continued, twice-daily use reduces visible dark spots and freckles for a more even skin tone. It’s ideal for all skin types and is available without a prescription.
The other product is LATISSE. LATISSE is the first and only FDA-approved, science-based treatment to enhance eyelash prominence and is measured by increases in length, thickness and darkness of eyelashes. LATISSE is a once-daily prescription treatment and is only available through a doctor. I am really excited to get started on LATISSE since my once abundant, black eyelashes seem to have relocated to my chin. I should be seeing results by week eight.
Now that the injections of Belotero filler that I had in early January appear to be settling down, Kim will soon be starting the Triniti Series, a combination of three facial rejuvenation treatments for color correction, wrinkle reduction and skin tightening. These treatments will give me some swelling and redness for five to seven days with three to five treatments spaced a month apart.
So, I have another year to get Oscar ready. I know all the studios will be calling!!! Maybe I will only be a seat filler, but, hey, I will look fabulous with my own dewy, fresh face. Look out Hollywood, here I come!
